Organized by musicians Neil Young and Pegi Young, the Bridge School Benefit Concert was an annual, all acoustic, non-profit charity event held every October at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. All proceeds directly benefited the operations of The Bridge School.
The first concert was held October 13, 1986 and, with the exception of 1987—the year the educational program was launched—it became a highly anticipated Bay Area favorite.
The Bridge School Collection, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3, Vol. 4, and Vol. 5 features songs from the past 30 years of the Annual Benefit Concert. Through the generosity of the artists and Apple, a portion of iTunes and label proceeds will benefit The Bridge School.
