The mission of LAT Kids is to serve the needs of children with disabilities in Mississippi. Through the Internet people the world over are able to benefit from tools they develop. The site provides current-events stories with the added feature of a "listen now" application that supports text-to-speech so that articles can be read aloud. Programs designed to meet the needs of individual members of the community are available for general use. Additionally, there is a blog, The Zone, for members of the LAT Kids community to chat, share and make friends.
