This outreach program sponsored by community stores supports free field trips with trained leaders. The field trip content ranges from "Healthy Eaters" to "Be a Smart Shopper!" to "Things you AUTO know." Availability varies around the country. Field trips include preparatory materials, lesson plans and resources relating the trip to content standards.

We plan field trips and on-site experiences to complement the classroom curriculum and thematic units. This year we have gone to
Ardenwood Farm, ice skating and more. We have also had visits from fire fighters, an organic egg producing chicken and a mobile aquarium. Take a look at our Students in Action page for more.

The focus of the biennial conference will be literacy, assessment and the impact of visual impairments on the education of users of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
