This organization of "self advocates training self advocates" focuses on building leadership skills, increasing self-determination and working towards systems change. While this branch is headquartered in Sacramento, CA, there are People First organizations around the state and the country.

Project T.E.A.M.S website is designed to act as a central location for resources addressing transitions, employment, advocacy, mentoring and self determination. The project acts as a resource to students in special education on their journey to adult life.

What's New at Bridge?
In August the AAC Friends and Leaders group experienced the amazing A.R.T. program. A.R.T. stands for Artistic Realization Technologies and is based in New Jersey (www.artrealization.org). This program focuses on providing individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to express themselves creatively and authentically. The process uses a "tracker" who manipulates tools and materials based solely upon the input of the artist. We were fortunate to have an exceptional tracker, Kat and also the founder of the program Tim Lefens with us. The Bridge Collection
There are now 2 collections of Bridge School Benefit concerts available on iTunes. Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and search for "The Bridge Collection." Through the generosity of the artists and Apple over 90% of the proceeds will benefit The Bridge School for the first 6 months of sales. Follow this link for more information.
