Bridge to Home
ZOOM by kids, for kids
http://pbskids.org/zoom/index.html

In an ironic twist this television program encourages viewers to "turn off the TV and do it!" The target audience is 5 – 11 year olds. The program, and the website, teaches viewers how to take an active approach to learning--to ask questions, to create, to experiment, to open themselves up to new possibilities, and to have fun!

http://www.epals.com/community/

Building friendships, sharing information and exploring cultures are the goals of this website. Individuals, classrooms and groups can join to participate in traditional pen pal activities, book discussions, and a multitude of other opportunities. The e-mail service has a small annual fee, however a multitude of the resources are available free of charge.
