

Classroom Strategies - the first of our projects involving the development of materials or publications is ready to launch!
This publication supports our vision to "promote the universal inclusion of children with severe speech and physical disabilities" by identifying, compiling and sharing those unique strategies and/or key components that have led to our student's success. In our first issue, we discuss some strategies that we have developed to aid and guide the teaming process- the cornerstone of the Bridge School educational model. Given that our program was founded through a collaboration of parents and professionals, we have always strived to make the team approach work for the benefit of each of our students and the ongoing development of our program as a whole. Attending to the dynamics of how this approach works, and doesn't work, and creating ways to deal with the issues and conflicts that arise, has been as important in the development of our educational model as any other area.
