
Outreach
Outreach extends the mission of The Bridge School by disseminating and sharing information to parents, professionals and users of AAC/AT across the nation and around the world. Outreach projects seek to:
- Promote universal inclusion of children with severe speech and physical disabilities
- Positively influence the future of these individuals
- Support the expansion of knowledge
- Impact the global community
AAC by the Bay Conference — A biennial three-day conference bringing international and nationally known leaders in the field of AAC/AT to the Bay Area.
Bridging Communities Through Alternative Communication (BCTAC), formerly AAC Friends & Leaders — Programs and support for teen and adult AAC users.
Building Bridges Camp & Training Institute — Building bridges among augmented communicators, trainers and experts in the field.
Classroom Strategies — In-depth publications focus on Teaming, Vision, Framing a Future (Transitions), and Assistive Technology (Coming Soon).
Lecture Series — Professional development opportunities for the community.
Open Labs - Access Fairs — Hands-on experience with current technology and training opportunities.
Teacher in Residence — Building global partners through international internships.
