Stuart Little and Pet Mice
Stuart Little is no ordinary mouse. Born to a family of humans, he lives in New York. Though he's shy and thoughtful, he's also a true lover of adventure. The students enjoyed this classic example of children's literature. The students wrote summaries to demonstrate their comprehension.
At the same time they read about a fictional mouse the class had the opportunity to observe real mice for two weeks. Jake wrote a report about deer mice and shared the information with his classmates. They learned about what mice eat, their habitat, and how they play. The student's named their deer mice Dagny and Game Board.
