Students in Action

What's New at Bridge?

THE OCEAN

During the ocean unit the students learned about the lives of sea animals. They read books, watched videos, investigated on the Internet, sang songs and experimented with water and sand. The Marine Science Institute (www.sfbaymsi.org) visited the school and brought many animals with them. This is a great opportunity because the students get to learn while seeing and touching the creatures.

Will touches the shark.

Ria investigates a sea star.

Jesús shows Raul the jawbone of a shark.

Sarah shows Colin K. two sea urchins.

Drew takes a turn touching the shark.

Jesús shows the class the leopard shark.

Joey feels the shark’s scratchy back.

Peter reaches out to touch the shark.
