HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

Our Plant Unit was so much fun - we just keep talking about it...

Students took walks in The Bridge School Garden to see what was growing, smell the herbs and check out the bugs!

Gorgeous flowers grew over several weeks during art class. Students started by making the soil and roots, added the stems and leaves and finished by mixing colors to make beautiful flowers.

Literacy lessons included poetry writing, factual and fiction books, and sequencing activities.

Math lessons incorporated counting and sorting parts of flowers.

Students decorated flower pots and planted flowers for Mother's Day gifts.

We also went on a field trip to the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.
