REVIEWS - Movies, Restaurants, Games, Software, etc.

The Last Samurai
By Danny

The last samurai is a movie that I love and own and I think you should see it

Samurai means warrior, the samurai were warriors, they lived in Japan, and they lived to protect the people and the emperor of Japan.

A civil war hero went to Japan to teach them how to fight the samurai. The samurai did not want to change their ways. The emperor wanted to change Japan into a modern place.

Tom cruise plays a person who was feeling bad about what he had done as a soldier by killing some Indians. He was the one who going to teach but he was taken by the samurai. Then he becomes a samurai.

It is a sad and beautiful movie. I like this movie because it is in the old world like knights and kings when they were honorable. My favorite part is when he becomes a samurai by trying to save his friend and the bad people were trying to stop him.

It is for adults - rated R
It is my favorite.

The Lord of War
By Ben

I saw it at the Kona Theatre.
It has Nicholas Cage, Jared Leto and Bridget Moynahan
It takes place all over the world - New York, Russia and Africa.
It is mainly about this arms dealer, his interactions with family and "business" associates and questionable morals.
There wasn't much of a sound track but the sound effects were good. There was a lot of gun fire and yelling.
I didn't like it too much - it was kind of boring.
It was better that the tsunami documentary we saw.
It is for adults - rated R
